StatSheet is now projecting Northern Iowa to go to the CIT. The Panthers are #100 in the StatSheet StatRank with an 11-9 overall record and a 4-4 record in the Missouri Valley.

During the last four games, Northern Iowa was steady with wins against Southern Illinois, Drake, and Bradley but also suffered a loss to AP #17 Creighton.

Northern Iowa struggles against strong competition, with a 1-9 record against the RPI Top 100 that includes an 0-6 record against the RPI Top 50 and an 0-3 record against AP ranked teams. The Panthers have no resume to speak of, with neither quality wins nor bad losses under their belt.

The last four teams into the NCAA Tournament with at-large bids are Southern Miss (16-4, 5-0 C-USA, StatRank #40), Brigham Young (15-5, 5-1 West Coast, StatRank #39), Wisconsin (13-6, 4-2 Big Ten, StatRank #58), and Rutgers (12-6, 3-4 Big East, StatRank #55).

The first four teams out are Iowa (13-6, 2-4 Big Ten, StatRank #65), Maryland (15-4, 3-3 ACC, StatRank #63), Charlotte (16-3, 4-1 A-10, StatRank #43), and Villanova (12-7, 3-3 Big East, StatRank #62).
